Would this be an example of being catfished? - LadyBugg - 02-19-2013 04:08 AM

I was wondering and I looked up the definitions of being "catfished", and all of the answers were that a catfish is someone who steals other people's pictures and makes a fake account on a social media site and has online relationships pretending to be someone else. Is it also being "catfished" if the person you're talking to IS the person you thought they were, but they were just a little overweight?

if they lie about their weight then yes. If lets say you had a boyfriend or girlfriend online. One lie no matter how big or small that the person tells you and you believe and they make you believe is being catfished. No matter how big or small. Because yes a little overweight might not be a big deal. But if they are willing to lie of something small. Then what else are they lying about? Think about it. And thats being catfished. They hide and don't let you see them and always make excuses. Why? because they lied about something to you and they are afraid to admit it. No matter how big or small. A lie is a lie.
