MacBook Air or Another Laptop? - Caleb - 02-19-2013 04:50 AM

Just wondering...? I'm 17, senior in highschool and starting college next year. I like to watch Youtube videos, make them, and use social media websites in general. What type of laptop would be the best for me? What are some ups and downs about the computer(s) you chose?

If you have the money, and are looking at long term usage, I would say go for the mac. Its a well built machine and it will last. It's perfect for all around media use. It's very user friendly, perfect for students. If you're looking for a laptop for gaming, programing and etc. I would say go for something else. You can find many laptops with better specs and are better fit for gaming and running complex programs, and they cost much less $. The mac is all about design, internally and externally. Well built all-around, but it comes with a higher price tag. With a PC, you have more flexibility and customization. I have owned both a mac and PC. They are both great, but it all depends on what you're using it for.

Good Luck.

A Macbook can actually be a good choice for video editing and graphics design
1. powerful processor
2. big enough memory
3. enough storage device
4. good graphic card with dedicated memory
5. excellent cooling system.
