How many bytes are required to download an average web page? - Donald - 02-19-2013 05:36 AM

Please consider at least one animated advertisement, a couple still jpegs and additional links such as Facebook and Myspace.

My front page is now built dynamically, but when it was a static page, with about half a dozen small graphics and literally hundreds of links, it ran about 180,000 bytes.

These days, that would probably be on the small side.

There is no way to predict because there are too many variables. Content and size of the jpg's. Number of links. Size of whatever the ad is created in. Text on the web page, etc.
