Not in VA it's not illegal.
You can pretty much ask for anything but passwords and logins for social media sites.... and even that in some places

They are asking you for a detailed resume. No,,its not illegal for a potential or present employer to ask for one.

No, asking for a CV or resume is not illegal. Why the hell would I hire someone without looking at a resume?
