Andrew,
I can only speak for myself. I bought the Inspiron 17r se system for christmas and I really like it. It is a bit on the heavy side at a little over 7 lbs. Other than that is ROCKS! The xps 15 r is also a nice computer as well. I have not heard of any major issues with either system.
