how to know my network censorship method? - Ahmed - 02-20-2013 09:50 PM

for pure academic knowledge
i am a university staff.. computer science faculty
in our university the network pans some sites like youtube and facebook
we have a server here and we must connect through a proxy and username and password,
ultrasurfe program is used to break this proxy and access sites like facebook,
i wanted to know what is the type of network censorship,, and can they access our provate computers through it or not, and what is the methodology that proxies like ultrasurfe can break the proxy and others cannot
thank you

There is no way to know but proxies are unsafe and do not hide your identity or surfing habits. They will send out information unencrypted and use local DNS to reveal everything.
