Do people that use social media websites have no life? - Ryan Bond - 02-21-2013 02:17 AM

So basically today I got, how do you put it, told? I guess.... Anyway, my Grandma and Mother were arguing with me about Facebook and Twitter. They have this idea that who ever uses it, and I quote, "have no life" and are therefore "sad". They made me feel like an absolute idiot! So I was wondering do you believe their ignorant statement you have no life if you use twitter/facebook, or any social media websites?

I dunno man. I'm personally gonna wait an see if this Facebook thing catches on before I sign up. I'll let you know later...?

No, that's definitely not true. Now, if you spend almost every minute of your free time on facebook and twitter, then yes you probably have no life. But there are plenty of people who use them but only check it for a few minutes a few times a day. Just because you use a particular website doesn't mean you have no life. It depends on how much time you spend on those sites and what you do when you aren't on them. If you have a job or go to school, runs errands/do chores/do homework, and hang out with friends in person every now and then, and just check social media during your downtime, then you definitely "have a life."
