Is giveaway after completing survey on facebook legitimate? - Jordan - 02-26-2013 09:14 AM

Occasionally when I visit Facebook I'm asked to complete a short survey. I don't click on a link, it's just what's pulled up when I open the page. By completing the survey I am supposedly entered to win an iPhone, laptop, or HD TV. It automatically shows up when I try to pull up facebook but in order to win the prizes I have to be redirected to a different site. Is this legitimate or a scam?

Most likely a scam that gives you a virus/spyware when you click on it. Run a virus scan/spyware check.

These are just text ads that are interjected (or spam apps/posts from other friends that did the same thing) that are the same as the big flashing WIN A FREE* iPOD! ads that are on any other site.

Technically they're legit, but you wont' meet the criteria the sites want to qualify to win.
