I have a Facebook. I always want to deactivate it but I have friends on it that I never see and that I like to stay in contact with. Other than that, I find it so annoying. I rarely ever update my status anymore. I have been doing it like once or twice a month. I get tired of the political and religious postings on my wall, the relationship drama. I tried to contact someone from high school and they blocked me. I get depressed when I look at people's profiles and they are traveling the world and doing cool stuff. I've been out of high school for 4 years but it's so hard to get away from Facebook and the people I went to school with..

Facebook doesn't annoy me, the trolls who use it do, however.

I had the same problem with face book [windows messenger work for me] emailing can b another route. twitter may also b an option thers 3 options that will give you more personalized communication with less well u know .

I have a love/hate relationship with facebook.
I set it up so I get no notifications through email...I have to physically go on there to see my stuff. The people who really annoy me I "hide."
I wouldn't compare yourself to the people on there though. That's not a facebook issue...more of an insecure issue which could happen anytime.
I wouldn't deactivate your account but I would take a break from it if needed.
