I found out today that my account got suspended yesterday. I have no idea why. But my other problem is that I'm not sure how long this will last. Can someone help me?

Accounts are generally suspended for violations of the Twitter Rules. You have to expedite the appeal process. You should do the things which describes in this link http://www.leftygbalogh.com/2011/suspended-twitter-account and provide what they asking, then your account will activate.
