If you have a lot of friend in common, you can invit her but it will be a little bit awkward even if you have friend in common. Twitter and facebook aren't the best way to know people. In there, people who invit people they don't know seems to be creeper. We don't want to have a stranger as a friend. it's not like all of the other usual website of this kind.
Try to be invited at a party where they are invited to. Don't try with facebook. It's pathetic.
