Do you need the internet to play apps on Kindle Fire HD? - JustAGirl1243 - 02-26-2013 09:04 PM

I just got the Kindle Fire tonight. I have internet access at home, but not at work. On my break if I've downloaded apps already, can I play them? Or do you always need an internet connection?

Just like apple prouducts, once downloaded, always playable w/o connection.

No you don't need internet connection to access or use the apps, once they are downloaded to your Kindle Fire. But of course, if you want to use the apps to watch youtube videos, go to facebook, play games online with friends, etc., then definitely you need Wi-Fi access for these.

Just in case you don't know, there's a free app every day from Amazon for the Kindle Fire, that's worth to check every day:

Hope that helps.

If we are talking about online games like the facebook games then yes you need internet to connect to people but if we are talking about games like temple run, angry birds etc then no you are good to go.

It depends on the app.

Most apps don't really need an internet connection, but some will.
