How to get rid of Facebook search history? - Em. - 02-26-2013 10:35 PM

On my Facebook whenever I go to search for someone I go to the search bar at the top my Facebook. When I type in a letter (A, B, C, etc.) a drop down menu appears with people thats names start with that letter that I have looked up recently. How can I get rid of this feature? Because sometimes I look people up that I don't want anyone to know I'm looking up but if someone gets on my Facebook they're going to know that I've searched for that person.

So, how do I get rid of this? CAN I get rid of this?

Thanks!!!

hello, firstly don't worry no one will know you have looked them up, facebook don't allow that. The drop down search and people showing up like this is a feature that is built into facebook and is not related to your browser/internet history.

It's always a good idea to delete your computer history, such as all web pages you have visited, so if you have viewed people's facebook pages it will be stored on your hard drive until you erase it. Below is a link, it's a simple guide to deleting internet browser history.

and don't worry, no one will know you have looked them up.

This is automatic and that is the feature that happens as soon as you start typing in the search bar. This can't be disabled. Sorry
