What are the ideal personal strengths for a career in web programming? - Dav G - 02-27-2013 06:37 AM

What are the top 3 strengths that new candidates should mention for their interview if they are interested in a career within the following professions: Web design, multimedia production and social media?

Thanks

Mention that you can be extremely patient when explaining to user that the ideas they have are totally stupid/expensive/impossible.

This is a list of characteristics of successful software developers. These were developed by a group of three very gifted software development co-workers:

Musical talent
Detail oriented
Thinks in terms of modules steps or sequencing
Math is important – but even more logic
A talent in building physical things like (As a kid maybe Legos)
You might have a messy desk but you can easily find things on it
Creative
Not highly sociable (small group of friends)
Not highly interactive in group discussions
Obsessive Compulsive
Bulldog tenacity in completing what they begin
Looses all sense of time while completing tasks
Has intense focus on hobbies and/or games
Passionate about the work they produce

If I was going to pick out three and word it for an interview I would do these.

1. I have a bulldog tenacity in completing a requested task.
2. Passionate about the quality of my work.
3. Quick learner.
