I know that you can have your facebook say where you are and how long ago you were there, but is there a way you can enter it yourself, so it looks like you have been somewhere when you actually haven't. I think a friend of mine is making things up. Anyone know?

Yes you can! When you're logged in, and at the homepage of Facebook (News feed screen), you're able to update your status that's located right below the Facebook toolbar and search bar. When updating your status, there are three buttons to the bottom left corner of the "status update" rectangle. The second button from the left usually labeled 'add location' is where you're able to manage it by phone or by computer. You're able to click, type, and click in your location or any location, at any given time.
