There is this person on youtube about the same age as me. She made a youtube account 3 days before me. I have 26 subscribers, she has over 500. How do I get popular on youtube?!? I really enjoy making videos and I like it just for the fun of it, but it would be nice to get more subscribers or views. Does anyone have tips (besides sub for sub)

Do you have a niche to entertain or inform people about a special subject? Find something you love and become an expert on it.
A easy way is to dress slutty and talk about what just came on the news - look at some of the more popular female youtubers.

make freinds at facebook, myspace and twitter and share the videos
also get a blog at blogspot and use the blog show your video and share some info too.

make good videos! good videos are mostly:
edited ones
funny ones
shortish ones (no one wants to watch a nine minute video. keep it under 3 minutes!)
good lighting
confidence
different!
then to get them out there:
post links on facebook, email, yahoo answers, tumblr, dailybooth, twitter
tell all ur friends!
enter contests
send out messages, comment fred's channel
