I have one twitter follower. my page isn't like advertised and I don't feel like paying. If I get a few followers they might retweet, but this one won't. So can you follow me or give me tips? Like when I post a trending topic, Like say #iReallyHateWhen why can't I see it in the stream with everyone else?

I used a site called iDailyReview.com to help advertise my site and they will probably advertise your Twitter. They are a ten dollar service I think but they let you do anything with the ads.

I felt bad so I followed you (: What I do is just follow people you know and wait about a week and see if they follow back. If they don't follow back just unfollow them. Plus, whenever you get a follower make sure to follow them back ASAP so they don't unfollow. I myself have not done this, but a few of my friends actually just make up a fake person and make an account and follow themselves. I think that's a but desperate but I mean.. if you want followers that bad..

If you want to gain more followers, simply link your Twitter account to your Facebook profile page and your Tumblr blog. You can even add a Promote Twitter button to several other social networking sites. It won’t cost you anything, as Twitter provides this service to you for free.

Getting followers on twitter can be hard, but if you understand how it works it can be a lot easier. Here's an article I've been using to try and understand how to get more followers.
