I tried to upload one to my status and it doesnt work. Did it work for you?

Not even bothering to try, instead, you try this:
1) Clear history/cache/cookies
2) Press Ctrl + F5
3) Wait, if you have uploaded many pictures in a row
4) Try using some external (online) application which can access Facebook
5) Download another browser, try with it
6) Never ask this again - problems with big sites are written in the news anyway, therefore it's only your problem if it hasn't been reported globally.

1. Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash.
This fixes the problem most of the time. First you'll need to uninstall any outdated versions of Adobe Flash that you might have on your computer. Then, get the latest version of Adobe Flash. Make sure to quit all web browsers during the installation process. Download latest version of Flash player at http://adobe.com/go/getflash
2. Try using unedited versions of photos. Editing photos using other software beforehand can cause them to upload incorrectly or fail to upload entirely.
3. Check the photo format. We only support certain types of image formats, so we recommend using .jpg, .bmp, .png, .gif, and .tiff files.
4. Check the size of the photo. We recommend the photo does not exceed 15MB.
5. Check your browser. Make sure you're using the latest version of your browser and the most up-to-date version of Adobe Flash.
