Do people actually make money blogging? - Stephanie - 02-28-2013 07:14 AM

I know some do - but is it difficult to get into or is it just a matter of time and technique? where does the money come from?

The money comes from adds placed on your blog. Google Adsense is hot on Blogger. You won't make any money at all if your blog isn't highly popular. You really need to get at least three to four hundred hits a day to make anything real off of it.

The advertisers pay for clicks on the ads. As for making money, that's what I'm looking to learn. I'm running a site in an attempt to raise some money for school next year. I do know, however, that some sites like Triond will pay you for article you write based on how many people read them on a daily basis.

It's easy to start. Just sign up. The hard part is generating traffic. Social networking like facebook and twitter are great for that. There's also stumbleupon and digg.

There are 133 million blogs online today. Most have an audience of one. There is no money to be made unless you are an expert in one area that people will pay to read. Selling ads on a blog is a complete waste of time.
