Depending on what type of notification you want to turn off, you might not be able to do it. But the ones you can change will all be found here: http://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=notifications
If you are logged in and the link doesn't work, click the gear on the top-right on the Facebook page, click Account Settings, then in the column on the left, click Notifications.
Look through there and you should be able to find what you are looking for.
