I was wondering if people can see the location I messaged them from on facebook? Like I know it shows on a phone, but will it show the exact location when a message is sent from a computer? Like can my friend see my location that I sent a message from if I sent it from a computer?

If you have your location set then they will be able to see that you sent it from wherever you live(they will see your city) but only if you set "location on".
They wont be able to see if you sent it from a computer, but if you sent it from Facebook Mobile or Messanger it will say it at the bottom "sent from mobile"

With programming knowledge someone could build a program that uses and algorithm that captures the messages packet and dissects it for your IP address then uses the IP serial code to find location.

Good question.. I'm assuming yes but you would really have to investigate on finding the track number etc where as by mobile it's easier
