How do you stop facebook from emailing your status updates to people? - The Great Yard Flamingo - 02-28-2013 12:50 PM

I know I can change it so I don't receive email for status updates in my own email account, but how do I stop facebook from automatically sending them to others? My ex husband is no longer on my facebook and i have everything set to private, but i fear he's still getting my status updates via email. I deleted myself from my daughter's fb and I still received her updates. So I'm wondering if there's a way to prevent that, I don't need him knowing what I'm doing.
Thanks.

Have you blocked this user? If you have not then you should block him and then you won't have to worry about anything being shared as all communication is blocked after that point

By default, Facebook sends notifications by email whenever certain events occur, such as comments on your posts and being tagged in a photograph. If you want to stop receiving these emails, change the notification settings for each event in your account settings menu. Fortunately, this simple process takes only a few moments of your time and a few clicks of your mouse to free your inbox from those notifications.
