Does facebook have a way of seeing who viewed your profile? - questionguy3334 - 02-28-2013 03:22 PM

Two questions: does facebook have a way to see who is viewing your profile when you are on (like a pop up telling you suzie is now viewing....) and is there a way to see those who have viewed in the past or viewed most frequent?

Facebook as a company would, but there is no way to see who has been viewing your profile or anything like that. All the applications that claim to tell you that are actually just calculating your public interactions (wall posts, status comments, photo comments) with people and making a list of who you interact with the most. There is NO WAY to see who looks at your profile and how often. I'm pretty sure FBook has said they would never make it possible. That would probably hurt Zuckerberg's money intake, and we wouldn't want that would we?

No, it doesn't.

Profile watcher, and some apps on it show your top fans

No, that would violate privacy laws and whatnot. There are apps that show who you interact with the most though.

I think there is some kind of application for that but i don't think so if it's really work.

Facebook doesn't allow people to track who views their profiles. Facebook applications, on the other hand, are unable to track anybody unless they have the consent of the viewer.

Follow the source to see the Facebook's statement about this issue.

I think there is a tool for this in this website.

Despite what you hear from many applications, you can’t tell who views your profile. It's a violation of the terms of use on Facebook. I suppose that there may be an application, but using them will likely cause Facebook to delete your account without warning since you are violating the privacy rights of other people.

These profile viewing applications are not run or owned by the Facebook Company. These “fake” applications don’t work either and some may even contain viruses too! What’s worse is that it may even be owned by creepy people or hackers/stalkers that’ll take all of your Facebook data and use them for their own purpose (which probably isn’t good).

The Facebook help center also says that they “do not provide applications or groups with the technical means to allow people to track profile views or see statistics on how often a particular piece of content has been viewed and by whom. Applications you use may ask for permission to access content from your News Feed and Wall. Granting this permission does not allow applications to see who has viewed your profile. It simply allows applications to see which friends have interacted with posts, such as which friends liked or engaged with a particular wall post.” In other words, most of the applications don’t really know who has view your profile.

The good thing about this though is that you can look around other people’s profiles without getting discovered or caught. So yeah, you can go ahead and snoop around at your crush and you won’t get caught!

Hope this helps!!
