The daily news is selling views
based on what's on Twitter's win/lose
Trending divas, drama drag-queens
take precedence over crime scenes,
which are covered up by edits
for which no one will take credit.
Men with righteousness can run
for office; but I think those that won
must have slowly lowered values,
law and church ploys to stall you.
New technology advances
like an army taking chances
on the chink in Her armor;
She, our country; we disarm her,
befoul her waters, mine her veins,
leave her corrupt and WE COMPLAIN
when she strikes with ice and wind.
Soon this desert will quake again.
From the OC to Dallas, Texas
the Grand Canyon, Sedona's vortex,
breaking walls in Vegas' top spots,
trip the alarms that stop mid-jackpot.
It's okay. It pays off big, for them.
That's right folks, chances are slim,
choices are few, tides rollhigh.
The moon is a tic at the back of my eye,
hanging low and orange- like during harvest,
close low and huge when it should be farthest
and smallest. and palest.
Put this on your 'fail' list.

Nobody did a damn thing
to stop it.

In Florida we got Govna' Scott,
for the people I think he's not.
Like POWDER on steroids,
he's taken the reins,
and begining the bull **** all over again.

When a poet
or a reporter
describes a body
cut in seven pieces
long-wise
how does it make us
a better race?

I'd rather hear about drag queens any day.

As for my country,
why cry over spilt milk.
Rejoice that the powers
who want Americans enslaved
support the Egyptian revolution,
so it must be, it must be,
a good business deal,
and nothing more.

Bread and circuses,
give me bread an circuses;
for the fire has gone out
and the heart of the land
is cold, and dead, and forgotten.

News can't help me anymore.

I enjoyed your description of the state of the mindless one who run the state of our union.

I've forgiven myself for tuning out of any media and politics. Off the grid might be impossible, but I'll not dance to anyones tune for long. Hugs LC.

You are aware you have an amazing, tactile brain.
Your prolific output puts me to shame
"The moon is a tic at the back of my eye"
is enormously original.
Your poem, a feast for thought.
