Maybe u just need to give it a rest for a bit. Keep it off for a few days and then see if there is any changes

Older generations of ipod touches have slower processors and they glitch and freeze when they have been used for a long time. I would suggest, as with all iOS devices, restarting it by holding the home button and the on/off button at the top for ten seconds. If all else fails, create a backup of your ipod on iTunes and reset the device.

If you have a 3rd generation or higher, you have multitasking, and a ton of apps are probably open. Double click the home button, hold down on one of the icons until they wiggle, then press the red minus in the top right of each app. This doesn't delete them, just makes them stop running. Do this regularly to save battery life, and speed it up.

If that isn't the reason, Hold down the power button, slide to turn off, wait a minute, and turn it back on. If not, perhaps it became backed up with so much cache, and stuff. Trying opening iTunes (Backup and transfer purchases first! Do that by right clicking your iPod in the left of iTunes) and click Restore. That might also help. Smile

P.S. a cracked screen would have nothing to do with slowing it down.

Try turning your iPod off and then on again. If that doesn't work, check how much space you have left on you iPod (Under "Settings, General, Usage").
If your memory is almost full, try deleting some of the games that you don't use very often. This could help speed it up a little bit.
Also, try deleting some pictures and videos if you have a lot of those too.
Hope that helps Smile
