I know I have the option to reactivate my account but does everything get back to normal when I reactivate it? My friends? Tagged photos? Apps? Comments?

It shouldn't be that way, if you deactivate it, it should get shutdown and deleted, then you can reactivate your account name if you want to.

it just disappears from your friends, it still exists on their servers.
