how do you know when someone has ignored your facebook friend request?i mean if they hasn't accepted my request how do i know it?i know that they won't appear on my friends list an i won't recive any notifications as well but when i look at profiles of the people i've recently added i see that i've sent them a request but if they reject my request shouldn't it disappear ?

Yep. If they cancel your request, then ADD FRIEND will be displayed when you visit their profile

it only disappears if they decide to select "i dont know this person" - which also means you get reported for adding someone you do not know
most people just click "ignore" tho, and there is no way to know that they are just ignoring it

When a Friend Request Changes From Friend Request Sent to Add as a Friend than The Person Did Not Approve your Request and Has Ignored it
