My friend and I are debating:
Does Facebook pay the game developer (eg: Farmville creator) to make their site more popular OR do the game developers pay Facebook to make their games more popular?
Does anyone know?

Facebook doesn't pay them, that's for sure.
They make money from users and ads.
Sometimes the developers do pay Facebook for ads to bring them more members.
