Computer experts. Please help me!? - PaU = ) - 10-12-2012 08:10 AM

Hi! I bought this laptop (Vaio Eseries) 2 months ago. I got anti virus trend mirco titanuim. So my problem is, all of a sudden this thing pops up everytime I turn on my laptop. It says:

Mircosoft visual c++ runtime library Runtime Error, This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

On top of that, i cant open my itunes anymore. I tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it, but it still doesn't work. Sad

Also, I use google chrome. I have all of my passwords for facebook and yahoo and tumblr and twitter saved. But now I have to log into everything everytime I use the internet.

I tried downloading a free cleaning thingy for my laptop and it said I had more than 2000 threats. About a thousand of it is in the registry and the other is in the junk blah...

Please help me. I dont know anything about laptops or computers. I call things thingies and other things I don't know blah... so as you can see.. I really need help...

Thanks in advance!Smile

Try reinstalling the Microsoft package

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

Personally Trend isn't the best Anti Virus on the market, being a newcomer to the A list and I refer, (room for improvement) to the May issue of Australian PC and Tech Authority Magazine, which puts Norton Internet Security 2011 on a 6/6 star rating. Saving passwords to a browser is a NO NO. By the sounds of it you are infected. My suggestion is to get into safe mode (tap F8 on boot up, you may have to go to boot mode, select your hard drive>tapping F8> select safe mode with networking>download malware bytes>install>update definiotions>scan. This willget rid of any infections. Note you are still under warranty so if indoubt don't void your warranty. I have been using Norton's products for 11 years and they haven't failed me yet. Free ware offer minimal protection and don't have a firewall.
