Why do some Facebook users delete their account and a few months later, their profile is back on and then delete their accounts? I find it annoying?

Too busy with school or work, don't want a bad breakup to become public, to get away from stalkers, worried about privacy of sharing things online, no longer see the point of using Facebook, etc.
For others, it's just to take away one of the risks of accidentally sharing a personal photo online.
