when I select the photo I want to use it loads for 10min then says it was unable to complete request. It is a .jpeg and has 176KB. help?

That happened to me a LOT. For me, it was just the problem with my computer.
Maybe try going to another computer, or laptop, whatever, and updating ur picture there. That helped me. i just went to my friend's house and changed it there, and it worked way better.
