I used to look at someone's twitter profile (without following them) Now when I type their name into search it just says "internal server error". Can't see their profile photo or anything. Does this mean they are no longer on twitter or have they "hidden" their profile.

Either/or. Yes they can hide the profile. Yes, they may have quit Twitter.
