they only allow to do so many friend requests so i would say go to you current fb freiends walls and write on their walls you want people to friend request you or make a ad and advertise yourself on fb

you should only add ppl on facebook if you know them. like another family member or a good friend of yours from school or work.you can search for ppl that you know in the search bar.or you can look at the suggestions facebook gives you
