How do I stop the Facebook pop-ups when reading Yahoo News? - Ruff - 03-02-2013 03:13 PM

I don't want to link Facebook and Yahoo news. I've disabled pop-ups for Yahoo News, but it still happens EVERY time I open a Yahoo news story. If there is no solution, I will stop reading Yahoo news and switch to a non-yahoo email account as well.

Easiest answer: break up with Yahoo.

Secondary answer: http://www.wikihow.com/Block-Facebook-Beacon I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to if there's much more of this nonsense.

This of course is assuming you use firefox; I imagine there are similar extensions for Chrome/IE/Opera. Hopefully this works for you - this is SERIOUSLY annoying.

Get Firefox. Use it as your browser. Install the Noscript and Adblock Plus extensions. Use Easylist as your filter subscription in Adblock plus. No more ads.No more popups. You will be happy.
