I need a free place to post links to my short stories to increase traffic flow, but I'm not sure what site would be best to target the right people. I've already tried Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, and my own blog. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks so much!

If your stories are available for free on the internet, why don't you add them to an archive site so you can benefit from the much larger traffic flow to the more generic site? Fictionpress.com would be the obvious one.

I found a site called ad-ventures4u.com. membership is free and I can advertise up to 15 business.
I upgraied to $10 level and now I have 5000 hits and 20 business that I am advertising, it is a traffic exchange website.

Facebook advertising, twitter advertising and any other free placing of ads is good but if you really like to have a larger traffic, try to contact online company that will place your ads with a higher traffic that makes you gain more sales in return. The good thing about having a company that will help you in distributing your advertisements is by doing effective social bookmarking and some SEO jobs that increases traffics in short time period.

http://www.10dollardreams.com/?refer=3441 this is a great site that actually forces people to veiw the site. It also PAYS YOU through a cycling sort of thing. THeres a small investment about 5 dollars but I got it back in a day or 2. It's def worth a shot. Good Luck!!

I would recommend submitting your site to http://cestu.com It's a pagerank 2 site quickly moving up the ranks. Sign-up and link submission takes minutes(reciprocal link not required). Content submitted will appear on the front-page and QUICKLY indexed in google producing extra targeted web traffic and search engine placement using the description for your submitted link/picture.
Check it out and post multiple times if you wish!
