How do I get rid of a facebook virus??!!!!!? - CB - 03-19-2013 02:41 PM
I opened an attachment that I thought was from a friend. It went on to post hundreds of wall posts to everyone of my friends!!!! I changed my password, but it won't stop. I have temorarily deactivated my account, and ran virus detection on my computer and nothing came up! What do I do????

delete your account and create a new one

that virus is on your machine (not the wesite facebook) i would suggest reformating ur machine (backup and reformat) with ur recovery CDS. before you do that try doing a scan with
(update and run) malawarebytes antimalaware (http://www.download.com)
and AVIRA anti virus (free edition) (download.com)
both are free. install them and do a scan.

I'd say get a whole new account. You might try changing your password again, it may not work again, but it's worth a try

If you have a malicious app that has access to your account, block all applications besides the ones made by Facebook and change your password. But do it from a different computer.

I just got a weird email from a new facebook friend. It might be spyware. We just exchanged emails with each other yesterday and today it claims he posted on my wall. When I go to that, it is a blank wall, but the email is all about colon cleansing. I'm just sure he wouldn't really send me that. I doubt closing your facebook account is the cure. I'll watch this post for answers.
