How do I get rid of all these ads that pop up continually, they are getting so irritating!? - DIANE - 03-25-2013 07:53 PM

About a week ago, I started getting these blinking, distracting ads & they are everywhere..even when I am trying to read Facebook! Sometimes they even are one where I am trying to read or reply & I have to scroll down. I click on the ad info on the bottom, & it say's it is called Ad Choice Media, or something like that & that I have to find where it came from & delete it.

Download and install the latest Firefox browser:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

Install "adblock plus":
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

Result: no more annoying ads! And pages are loading much quicker too...:-)

I for one have the Firefox installed and don't see a single ad, no pop-up, no fly-in and no commercial videos on the Yahoo pages and on most other web sites...:-)

The reported issue could potentially be related to a virus or spyware that has infected your computer.

Viruses and spyware are hidden programs running on your computer and can be installed into your system without your knowledge. You may have unknowingly installed malicious software when you downloaded programs from the Internet or installed software from disks. These programs are easy to install but often difficult to remove without downloading specialized anti-virus or anti-spyware programs.

We recommend that you update your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs and scan for any unwanted programs that could be hidden on your computer. If you do not currently have this type of software installed, you may want to consider installing it in order to protect your system and data.
