Is "politeness" currently experiencing a low in the US? - Common White - 03-26-2013 07:06 AM It seems just over the past year or so that politeness and courtesy are taking a dip. Is it just me? Im looking at the media (reality shows) and people's actions, personally and in the workplace, as a basis. It also seems like outrageous behavior is either accepted or rewarded. Social media, at least within my circle, seems very, almost unusually polite. Anyone else see a trend or a fad? - Passo - 03-26-2013 07:14 AM Yup, & thank god. Political Correctness was way out of control & now it is finally starting to turn the other direction & we are seeing people behave in a more genuine fashion at last. - ʄaçade - 03-26-2013 07:14 AM On television. In the real world, people act in a real way. - Kenneth - 03-26-2013 07:14 AM Nahh I'm polite to some people and rude to other people. Tourists feel my wrath. Women and certain men get polite replies from me. |
