I have a gay friend who told me some muslims from Africa have asked him to be his friends at Facebook.

Well, there are Muslims who don't necessarily dislike gay people, but if they are from Africa, I would automatically consider them a scan. I used to cancel their friend requests, as well as blocking them from FB.
It doesn't matter about the facts in your post. I posted "No Men, Never."
I got at least 10 requests from men in Africa who wanted to make love (or worse).
