What are "Push notifications" and do I want to enable them? - Hash For Matt - 03-27-2013 03:10 AM

I have bought an app for my samsung android phone that offers push notifications. I get unlimited internet on my phone. What are they and do I want them?

they just send u alerts for the apps. For example for the facebook app u will get push notifications (alerts) when u receive a new message or status, picture comment o0r like they can be annoying at times. so be very selective

Some people confuse them with text messages. They are similar to text messages but not the same. You don't get charged for push notifications from your service provider. Push notifications provide alerts to the status of the applications your smartphone's mobile data is processing.
