I have a laptop, that model no. is dell inspiron 1564, there is built in web cam, but no software to use it

Go to the Dell Website, locate your Computer model and search for the drivers for it.

Go to Dell's website, look for your model there & download webcam driver from there. You can also get it by just searching for the driver on Google. Just make sure the laptop's model is correct.

You can visit Dell Support and put your service tag number than look for software for your webcam or use http://www.manycam.com/

If you just want to take pics you can do that online like on the Rounds app for ex. - http://apps.facebook.com/chatrounds/conv/?publisherid=elena&campaignid=YA&bannerid=0 You don't have to do anything, just go on FB and add the app and it walks through the rest of it. And you if you want to video chat, same deal – you shouldn't need any special software to get that going.
