What do I do about my phished Facebook? - Stephen - 04-16-2013 02:47 PM

Long-story short, I'm pretty sure someone phished my facebook account because my profile is now locked and Facebook will not let me on. I've tried changing my password, but that didn't help. The problem has been "reported" to the Facebook tech support. How long until my facebook is safe to open? Will they email me a new password?

If they locked your account when you log on their should be a way to email them or contact them. You may have to answer some questions about your profile. Once it is back in your control it is always safe to log into FACEBOOK,

FIRST: Never give your password out, NO (legit) APPS WILL ASK YOU FOR YOUR PASSWORD

Second, make your password a good password

Third, make sure you answer all security questions carefully and 100% correct.

I have the same problem but got an email the same day I sent the report saying I needed to verify that this was my account. I did and haven't got a response and it's been a week. However, I saw somewhere on yahoo answers someone who got their account back after emailing them so I guess we just have to wait
