Like when we share a location with a post on facebook. it shows this is being updated from the exact area im in.Not the city name. How does it do ?

It uses your I.P. Address

It uses IP address based location system. Because every IP address indicates the country, etc in a coded form. so they can identify.

Your IP address is a rough indication of your location.
