Hi fobunitgal555,
That's a nice question! Social media is like a 2 edged-sword, there's a pros and cons on using it. If it used too much social media will become a distraction for students. However, it can be use to increase social awareness and allows students to voice out their opinions with the pressing issues that may affect them. So the bottom line: use social media responsibly.
