are you asking about the format of sending a message? it's --
@<username> <message here>
for example, if i were to send a message to John Mayer, i would type in the "what are you doing" box: @johncmayer hi John!
the message goes to their @mentions page and they can read it. now, getting celebs to reply tho is another thing. not everyone gets a reply back so you'll need a bit of luck with that.

you just go to the side of their tweet.
you go under the star (its invisible)
now click the arrow and start tweeting to them
but lots of people tweet them all the time.
so you would be very luckky if they replied to you
