i know this seems pointless, but on the old facebook you could change the settings so that you weren't found in the search box, so i unchecked the box under the apps etc section but i can still search myself... thing is i don't want people to search for me that way so can i change it? since they seemed to have got rid of this feature that was on the old one!

You should log out and then try searching for yourself. Try that or get someone else that isn't your Facebook friend to try searching for you. Namaste.
