How should I go about straightening my veryyyy curly hair? - Isabella - 04-27-2013 08:11 AM

So if you look at my Facebook (my name is Isabella says hola so you know what I look like) you'll see that my hair is veryyyy curly. I want to straighten it but I know for a fact I will ruin it. I am not good with hair. I have friends who will straighten it but I don't think that's any better. Should I go get my hair straightened professionally? Will my hair go back to its original state after I wash it? Will there be any permanent changes if it is straightened? Please help! My hair is important and I don't want to ruin it!

there will be no permanent changes, tbh if it's very curly then a few hours after straightening it will go wavy and then back to curly.

Permanent straightening. Do it yourself or at a salon.

Professionally straightened means permanently straightened. Once straightened by a regular flat iron, like my Remington, it will go back to normal after a few hours. Especially after washing it, it will go back to the curly hair. No changes. All you have to do is just start with the bottom layer and smoothly go over your hair layer by layer until its straight enough for your liking.

Wash your hair, apply a deep conditioner and allow your hair to air dry. Do not blow dry your hair because you want to apply as little heat as possible. Use an ionic (ceramic) flat iron to then straighten your hair. If you like your hair straight, you may want to look into a Brazilian Blow-out.
