For the past month, I have been getting notifications from FB ( no matter if I'm on the page or not) in the lower right hand corner of my screen, from posts on my feed. I've searched high and low for answers to turning them off, cuz I still get notifications the old fashioned way. Too many notifications, and it's so god *(*^^ annoying that I'm considering getting off of FB altogether. I've gone to the settings page to try to turn this ish off, to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, was a way to turn it off discovered?

It IS in the settings somewhere, search through it all
