Computer freezing alot? - Jayjay - 04-29-2013 03:59 AM

I have a Dell Inspiron N4020 and lately my computer has been acting up. It is always freezing up whenever I do anything. I have to restart my computer alot because of this. I have done disk cleanup got rid of unneeded programs and such but it still is being slow. Any suggestions??

It could be any number of things that are causing your computer to run slow. You could have a virus or other type of malware, bad drivers or your HDD could be about to fail.

Here are some of the reasons for computer freezing:
1. Out of memory
2. Installed Programs or games that is not compatible with your computer.
3. Virus/Malware

Possible solutions would be:
1. Upgrade your RAM.
Check out http://www.laptopaid.com/memory.html for affordable laptop replacement parts.

Hello JayJay,
My name is Krishna and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. Try running the Crash Analysis Tool to determine the driver or program that may be causing this issue. You can follow the instructions from the below link.
