I was just wondering if there is a way to ony delete the email account and not answers? I really like to use yahoo answers but my email account has become too spammy recieving spam and it also sending spam out on behalf of me. Also I was wondering, if I delete this email what happens to accounts on social media I have with this account? Will I not be able to log in to them anymore? Thanks!

No,Once you delete your account you will loose access of yahoo answers and all yahoo service.
